We’re looking for our Sales Team Leader!
We are searching for a dynamic individual who has leadership experience to support our team and day-to-day operations. We’ve been in business for over 6 years, have a great reputation and a fantastic team.
This role is our top priority and has 3 key long-term responsibilities:
Fully running the front desk
Customer acquisition and retention
Coaching to team KPIs

You have 2 or more years of experience with management and developing people.
You can provide at least 2 references from former employers where your role was managing operations and leading people.
You can provide at least 2 references from people you’ve led in the last 2 years.
You have knowledge and experience in customer acquisition and retention.
You thrive with following through, communicating, and figuring things out with little to no direction.
You have the ability to handle high-pressure situations with grit & grace.
You’re innovative and creative but can execute and get others to buy into the task or project at hand.

What will you do in this role? You will own 3 core areas:
1. Running the front desk
You will be in charge of guest communications in person and virtually. You will pre-book guest appointments while they’re in the salon, educate and sell retail, increase utilization, support our service providers, and train any new hires on the desk. You’ll increase our average spend on services and retail and lead our team to do the same. You will ensure a consistently excellent guest experience.
What does success look like? You increase our Prebooking to 85% and our Guest Average Retail dollar to $30. When you hire a new member for the front desk, they can produce the same numbers as you within 3 months and they are a positive, productive addition to our culture.
2. Customer Acquisition and Retention
You’ll lead email communication and campaigns, and set up an email and texting automation that you create to increase our existing and new guest retention. You’ll observe our guest experience to see what can be improved to attract and maintain clients. What does success look like? You increase or maintain our New Guest retention to 55% or more within 6 months and our utilization to 75%. You personally recruit 20+ new guests to the salon each month and retain 40% of them.
3. Coaching to team KPIs
You’ll coach all team members on day-to-day operations to ensure they’re being done in excellence. You’ll work with the team to reach KPI’s and work with our leadership to create strategies that drive results. You communicate confidently and with intention when working with our team and leadership.

Who will you work with? You will work closely with Mallory our owner, who leads our team and executes training/onboarding, and Rachel our salon manager.
About The Gilded Lily: We opened in 2018 and are located near the corner of Milwaukee & Spaulding, just steps away from the Logan Square Blue Line. We currently have a team of 6 and are looking to significantly grow over the next 2 years. We specialize in customized luxury color and haircuts and have been named a Top 200 salon in North America twice.
Our Owner Mallory, is also a beauty industry coach for PIP University. She coaches salon owners across the country in their digital education course & teaches them all of PIP’s systems so they can implement them in their salons. It’s the #1 leading beauty industry education company in America. These systems have been pivotal in the success of The Gilded Lily since 2020.
Compensation: Hourly wage plus bonuses.
Schedule: This position will start as part-time about 25 hrs a week with the intention if it becoming full time at or within 90 days.
